Our plan was to meet at Utah Lake. A beautiful beach feel with mountains in the background is always a great idea! But as we were about to turn off the road to go to the lake, Ryan and I saw this golden hillside with the most beautiful light and we knew we had to take a few portraits here first! As photographers one of our most important jobs is to find that beautiful light. We love when our clients trust us enough to find and use that light to get the perfect photos, even when that means a little change of plans. Luckily this wonderful family is one of those who did!
Afterwards we continued on to the lake and those turned out just perfect as well! Timpanogos and the other mountains were a little hazy due to a fire in the area, making them a soft and lovely backdrop. The colors were great and their outfits were perfect! I know we have said it before and we will say it again! Dressing up for your portrait session is always a good idea!
This is Ryan’s brother and his sweet family. It’s crazy how fast time flies! It seems like just the other day we were taking maternity photos, and yet here they are as a family of three with their sweet daughter growing up so quickly. Enjoy some of our favorites from their session.
