There was not a person in the room who was not smiling while listening to Chloe and Sergio read their hand written vows. There was laughter. “You tell me I’m pretty, even when I am not.” There was joy. “I promise to take care of you and our family forever.” There were even a few tears. “You started as my best friend, and now you are my husband.” It was the sweetest vow reading we have been blessed to be a part of. In fact, that sentiment pretty much sums up our feelings for their entire day.
It is often said by the officiant during the ceremony that the couple will not remember any of the words they say. There are many other things going through the bride and groom’s heads that it is no wonder this is true. I don’t remember a word of what was said when we were married. I’m guessing this is most likely the case for Eric and Kendra. And that’s okay.
We love when our couples decide to do a bridal session prior to the day of the wedding. Although we always opt for as much time as possible to photograph the bride and groom on their actual wedding day, timelines are often running behind and our time is frequently cut short. Doing a bridal session allows us to have all the time we need to get the beautiful photos of the couple. It also allows for a stress free first look.
There is a moment in every wedding day, a moment that we as photographers look forward to. But before that wonderful moment, there is organized chaos. There are nerves, anxiety, and butterflies. Quick glances at the clock, and hope. Then, in a flash, it happens. The stress melts away, and the peace comes. There is relief that everything is going to work out fine. In the wonderful moment, everything becomes real.
You’ve heard of high school sweethearts, but how often have you heard of JUNIOR high school sweethearts? Victoria and Bridger’s love story could have come straight out of a movie. The type of movie you settle in to watch, not only for a good smile and a happy feeling, but also the type of movie you know you will shed a few tears during. Happy tears of course.
Here is part two of the styled shoot I attended earlier this month! Typically I prefer to photograph outdoors as much as possible because I am a lover of light! Give me all the natural light! This was a fun shoot because it was all the beautiful natural light I love, (and lots of it) but it was all indoors.
The day a bride gets married is a day she should feel absolutely beautiful! She spends hours getting her hair and makeup done to perfection. She has spent time choosing out the perfect jewelry to complement the most amazing gown she could ever imagine wearing. The moment her soon to be husband sees her for the first time, walking towards him looking so lovely, is a moment most brides never forget.
