Brianna + Josh Wedding

When one of your best friends gets married and you get to photograph it, it’s reason to come out of blogging retirement. It has been two years since I last blogged one of our sessions. This wedding was just too perfect and beautiful not to.

Ryan became friends with Brianna in Alaska almost 20 years ago. After Ryan and I were married I was able to meet Brianna when she came to visit friends in Utah. Our friendship has grown and grown since then. Brianna is one of the most thoughtful and genuine people I have ever known. When you tell her a detail about your life she remembers it forever, she makes you feel special and important. In a world where snail mail has been replaced with emails and texts, Brianna never misses sending a birthday card or a note for a special event.

Since Brianna lives in North Carolina and we live in Utah we keep up our friendship by constant texts and frequent phone calls. Over the years I have witnessed Brianna go through different ups and downs, wins and heart breaks. When Brianna first met Josh I was able to hear all the details. I loved the amazing things I heard about Josh. His easy going attitude, his kindness, his fridge full of cold drinks for anyone who may stop by unexpectedly. It was neat to see their relationship grow and watch Brianna fall in love.

Ryan and I were honored to be able to fly to North Carolina to photograph Josh and Brianna’s wedding. When we arrived we were surrounded by many friends and family of the couple who worked hard to make their day beautiful! Every person we met felt like instant friends because we had heard so much about each person over the years. It was an intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family. They were married in the Christ Moravian Church which had the most lovely stained glass windows and represented so much history of the Winston-Salem area. It truly was a perfect day celebrating a perfect couple!

Brianna and Josh, we are excited for you to begin your lives together. We are blessed to have you in our lives and look forward to many years of friendship.
