Some people choose a location for their session because it is pretty. Some choose it because it goes well with their home decor and will look good hanging on their wall. Others choose it based on convenience. My favorite reason a client chooses a specific location is because it is meaningful to them in some way.
Red Ledges Family Session
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for this beautiful family session! The vibrant fall colors where popping out, the temperature was still warm, the lighting was lovely and you can’t beat the unique red rock Utah has to offer! What made it all even more perfect was the adorable family we were able to photograph there.
Payson Canyon Fall Family Session
Most likely we say this about every season, but I think fall is our favorite! It’s that time of the year when you pull out all your favorite sweaters and cozy socks. The house smells like pumpkin spice and the oven is used on repeat to bake all those delicious baked goods. Drives up the mountains reveal the glorious colors this world can produce. When the H family said they wanted to go find aspen trees, we were thrilled! We knew the colors and lighting would be beautiful! Payson Canyon did not disappoint!
Springville Art Museum Family Session
I’m still trying to play catch up with our blog posts from some of our summer sessions. So many good ones!

Meet the “L” family. It was a joy and an honor to photograph this wonderful family. Their oldest son was days away from starting his two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Family photos are always important, but especially when you will not be seeing one of your children for the next two years!

Santaquin Canyon Fall Family Session
I absolutely LOVE when we get to photograph a family more than once. It is fun to see how they change and grow with the years. This session turned out so great, we couldn’t be any more happy with it! Click on this link to see this wonderful family from three years ago.
Veteran's Day
As I think about all the amazing veterans who have served, I can’t help but be grateful for their sacrifice. Both Ryan and I have grandparents, as well as other relatives, who have served this wonderful country that we are blessed to live in. One of those was my Grandmother, Melba Lee Simmons Johnson. Grandma served in WW II as a member of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and later worked on the administrative side of the USA's nuclear testing program.
Fall Mountain Family Session
There is a certain day in Utah that comes around every year. The day when many of the beautiful fall colors are already gone, yet if you search you can find that hidden spot where they are still at their peak. Their vibrant and stunning colors shining bright! The day that always happens to be one of the last with perfect weather. The day before the early random snow storm hits.
